Responsibilities
- Set up and serve food to customers in cafeteria and service areas
- Perform cashiering duties
- Assemble sanitized flatware for patient meal delivery
- Assemble patient food trays and nourishments according to diet guidelines
- Prepare basic cold food items (salads, desserts, pre-portioned items)
- Transport food trays to patient care areas
- Support food service operations as needed
Required Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Ability to read and write required
- One year of experience in a restaurant or food service environment preferred
Skills & Abilities
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work cooperatively as part of a team
Working Conditions
- Standing 100% of the shift
- Frequent exposure to water, cleaning agents, and temperature variations (hot and cold)
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs from floor to shoulder level
- Ability to push carts weighing up to 100 lbs
