Northern Michigan Truck Body Manufacturer is looking for a motivated, self-driven supervisor to lead a talented team of employees in the fabrication and assembly of new fire apparatus.
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience in employee supervision and leadership. Have good organizational and communication skills. Have the ability to coordinate, plan and implement production schedules. Have blueprint reading skills and be able to work with scope of work documents (specifications). Have experience in shipping, receiving and inventory management. Have experience in shop safety. Understand welding and fabrication practices and procedures along with having computer experience, including Microsoft Word and Excel and QuickBooks.
Priority given to these additional experiences or certifications: Experience in truck mechanical work. Understanding fire apparatus, water pumps, hydraulics, and both 12- and 120-volt electrical systems. ASE certification (heavy truck), EVT certification (Emergency Vehicle Technician), Class A or B CDL (Commercial Driver’s License).
