The Director, Reliability Maintenance develops, implements, and executes the long-term reliability maintenance strategy to always sustain targeted equipment conditions for uninterrupted production while transferring knowledge and skill to site leadership and autonomous teams. You will make an impact through the execution of Reliability Maintenance strategies across manufacturing facilities; prioritizing Culture Transformation of the reliability maintenance organization; driving improved manufacturing asset performance and maintenance financials; and championing the implementation of Kellogg Integrated Work Systems/Manufacturing Reliability.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Lead the development and deployment of long-term reliability and maintenance improvement strategies that enhance Overall Asset Effectiveness (OAE) using data-driven insights and advanced digital tools.
Identify, evaluate, and champion strategic cost-reduction and reliability-improvement initiatives, leveraging predictive analytics, condition-based monitoring, and modern maintenance technologies.
Partner with Business Unit and Site Leadership to design and evolve preventive and predictive maintenance programs, integrating Internet of Things (IoT), sensor-based monitoring, and advanced analytics to maximize asset life and performance.
Guide and influence culture transformation in maintenance and technical teams, clearly communicating roles, responsibilities, and alignment to enterprise reliability strategies and values.
Accelerate Autonomous Maintenance (AM) capability building, coaching sites through basic condition restoration and scaling best practices in equipment ownership, lubrication excellence, and operator/technician skills.
Strengthen Line-Centric Systems execution by ensuring standards are sustained, Daily Direction Setting (DDS) processes are robust, and maintenance support aligns with operational requirements.
Provide expert technical and engineering support to diagnose and resolve chronic equipment reliability issues, partnering closely with plant Engineering and Operations teams.
Ensure consistent adherence to standard work processes across sites by conducting audits, providing actionable feedback, and supporting gap closure for system and capability improvements.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a technical discipline and 10 years related work experience in a manufacturing environment.
5 years technical supervisory/managerial experience.
Broad knowledge and understanding of Reliability Centered Maintenance, MRO Stores and Inventory Management, Parts and Services Contract Negotiation, and manufacturing technologies.
Experience with SMED, 5S, Asset Care, Condition Based Monitoring, and Work Process Improvement, Problem Solving, FMEA, Autonomous Maintenance Support.
Effective communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work with employees at all levels of the organization .
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Proficiency in SAP PM and MM modules.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a technical discipline and 15 years applicable work experience OR Masters degree and 5 years applicable work experience.
10 years technical supervisory/managerial experience.
Certified Reliability Professional.
Ability to manage multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities.
Proven ability to plan, organize and effectively manage people
Ability to work with employees at all levels of the organization.
Project management skills.
Demonstrated ability to lead, influence and motivate others.
Salary Range: $176,400 - $220,500
Salary pay ranges are determined by role and level. Within the range, the successful candidate's starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, certifications, qualifications, relevant education or training, and local market conditions.
