Description We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in Southfield, Michigan. This role involves managing premium collections, handling payroll deductions, and providing exceptional customer service to clients in a high-volume environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills, technical proficiency, and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse individuals. This is a Contract position offering the opportunity to grow within the company.
Responsibilities:
Process and reconcile insurance premium payments and payroll deductions accurately and efficiently.
Handle credit card transactions and secure transfers while maintaining compliance with company procedures.
Update vendor portals and maintain detailed records to track payments and premium statuses.
Respond to a high volume of customer inquiries, providing support for payment issues and account updates.
Communicate complex financial information clearly to clients unfamiliar with technical terminology.
Manage sales agent commissions and review travel expense submissions for accuracy.
Ensure timely processing of commission payments and maintain compliance with company policies.
Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and reconcile accounts effectively.
Maintain organized documentation and records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Collaborate with internal teams to enhance processes and ensure seamless operations. Requirements - Previous experience in accounts receivable, financial administration, or customer service roles.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with financial software and vendor portals.
Strong communication skills with the ability to empathize and build rapport with clients.
Detail-oriented and organized, capable of managing high-volume tasks efficiently.
Adaptive to new systems and processes, demonstrating technical proficiency.
Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Experience working with union or blue-collar professionals is preferred.
Familiarity with insurance claims or financial processing is a plus.
