Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to plan and implement global sourcing initiatives either under the leadership of a global division/business area Procurement Manager or independently if under a defined threshold. Each day, you will ensure purchasing activities align with corporate purchasing policies and procedures. You will also showcase your expertise by managing the planning and tracking of procurement activities, cost budgets, emerging country spending, and savings forecasts.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Supports the development and implementation of regional/global sourcing strategies in close alignment with Global T&L Sourcing team and key stakeholders.
Negotiates and maintains supplier agreements, including price lists, terms & conditions, frame contracts, and local contract amendments.
Executes sourcing initiatives and benchmark studies within defined categories and thresholds to support regional and category objectives.
Manages carrier and forwarder onboarding, evaluations, performance tracking, and reporting in collaboration with T&L teams and businesses.
Initiates and manages Purchase Orders (POs), confirms deliveries, monitors compliance, approves payments, and fosters effective communication across internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications for the role:
Bachelor's degree with at least 10 years of experience with business processes, supply chain, Trade and Logistics, and sourcing.
Experience in strategic and/or operational Logistics including sourcing within a regional or global environment.
Strong negotiation skills with proven ability to manage supplier agreements, pricing, and contract terms.
Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders (e.g. Category Managers, local buyers, business teams) in a matrix organization.
Analytical mindset with experience running benchmark studies, carrier/forwarder evaluations, and performance reporting.
Solid understanding of procurement processes, including PO creation, contract management, and compliance with standard procedures.
Ability to manage multiple sourcing initiatives simultaneously, within defined thresholds and timelines.
Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to foster clear and effective internal and external collaboration.
