Position Summary
We are seeking a hands-on, experienced Facilities Manager to oversee the daily operations, maintenance, and long-term care of the resort’s physical infrastructure and grounds. The ideal candidate will ensure our guests experience a safe, clean, comfortable, and well-maintained environment, while also managing contractors, repair projects, and compliance with safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities

Oversee and maintain all resort facilities, including guest rooms, restaurant, bar, event spaces, beach area, and common areas.

Supervise maintenance staff and outside contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective repairs and projects.

Conduct regular inspections of buildings, equipment, and grounds to identify and resolve issues proactively.

Ensure the property is compliant with local, state, and federal safety, health, and environmental codes and regulations.

Manage inventory and ordering of maintenance supplies and equipment.

Respond to emergency maintenance issues (e.g., power outages, plumbing failures) as needed, including after hours if necessary.

Assist with seasonal setups and takedowns (e.g., outdoor furniture, snow removal, beach preparations).

Coordinate and support resort events and activities from a facilities perspective.

Prepare and manage maintenance budgets in collaboration with the General Manager.
Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or trade certification preferred.

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in facilities management, hospitality maintenance, or a related field.

Strong knowledge of building systems including electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and carpentry.

Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety standards.

Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.

Comfortable with physical work and able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
Preferred Experience

Background in hospitality, resort, or hotel facility operations.

Familiarity with beach or waterfront property maintenance challenges.
