JOB DUTIES:
Responsible for developing, evaluating, and managing animal health activities for commercial dairy operation. Specific duties include: (1) monitoring herd health and implementing programs to improve animal health care; (2) monitoring cows for mastitis, pneumonia, respiratory problems, and uterine information; (3) assisting in diagnosis and treatment of sick cows, calves, and heifers, including routine vaccinations and preventive management; (4) assisting in implementation of animal breeding and vaccination protocols; (5) performing detailed recordkeeping on all treatments, breeding, and vaccinations.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Agricultural Science, Agronomy, or related.
