Position Description and Purpose:

Key Essential Functions/Duties:
Champion employee and food safety programs
Maintain Food Safety & Quality compliance that meets or exceeds customer requirements and government regulations local, state, and federal laws
Lead a culture that engages employees at all levels to improve performance, efficiency, and cost. Collaborate with the Maintenance Director in maintaining a culture of continuous improvement focused on operational/maintenance discipline and root cause analysis
Direct and reviews operating results, evaluates progress, and controls expenses related to human capital, and waste. Identify and evaluate opportunities to control or reduce costs within area of responsibility
Collaborate with the Finance team to develop the annual operating budget in accordance with forecasted sales and growth initiatives
Actively participates in coaching and fosters learning at all levels of the business. Identify skills gaps across the team and implement training programs to develop employees and build expertise
Develop and implement both immediate and long-term operational strategies aimed at enhancing efficiency and fostering growth
Identify constraints within assigned areas of responsibility and develop solutions to enhance efficiency and increase capacity
Collaborate with engineering in a successful commissioning and handoff of capital projects
Collaborate with cross-functional departments (e.g., Engineering, Sales, Supply Chain, R&D, Commercialization, etc.) to ensure customer satisfaction and overall business success
Ensure compliance with all Roskam policies & procedures
