Job Summary:
The IT Project Manager is responsible for leading complex, cross-functional technology and operational initiatives from initiation through closeout. The IT Project Manager ensures scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk are actively managed, and that solutions transition successfully to operations with appropriate change management, training, and support readiness.
Job Duties:
Oversees all aspects of assigned IT projects and programs, and takes ownership for ensuring their success
Builds relationships with Business Line leaders, stakeholders, other managers, and within team
Plans and directs the work effort involved with the implementation or upgrade of automated systems
Provides project-based leadership for the justification, planning, implementation, and quality assurance testing of assigned projects
Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, monitors and summarizes project progress
Builds and maintains constructive working relationships with project team members, vendors, and other departments involved with assigned projects
Develops scope documents, statements of work, and other documentation supporting the justification for assigned project
Works with Business Line / Support Services process sponsors, the internal IT team, various other support groups within BDO USA, LLP, and third-party vendors to ensure that project efforts are controlled and completed on a timely basis
Leads and directs the work of project teams to ensure project efforts are controlled and completed on a timely basis
Works with appropriate subject matter experts, establish resource plans, expected level of effort and duration to complete tasks associated with assigned projects
Prepares deliverables-based project plans to ensure the controlled execution of assigned projects and for use by project teams, management, and other parties
Develops appropriate project issues and risk tracking documents
Prepares project status reports for project team members, management, and other parties
Reviews and understands or prepares, as needed, business requirements and objectives documentation in support of overall business needs
Coordinates with appropriate resources to ensure that system rollout communications and training materials are made available as appropriate
Works with technical and support teams to ensure a smooth transition from system implementation to production and ongoing support phases of a system's lifecycle

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Leads and directs the day-to-day activities of the System Analyst(s), Project Managers & Product Team as needed
Provides performance feedback for Career Advisee(s) throughout the performance year
Serves as a coach/mentor, supporting the career development and performance of Career Advisee(s)
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Education:
High school diploma or GED, required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, preferred
Experience:
Six (6) more years IT experience, required
Experience as an IT Project Manager, Business Systems Analyst, Software Systems Analyst, Business Process Analyst, Technology Support Analyst, or Software Developer, required
Experience using a standard project management methodology, required
Experience leading and directing the work of others in a project-oriented capacity, preferred
Experience with the concepts of Project Programs and Portfolios, preferred
Familiar with a web-based applications environment, preferred
Familiar with relational database concepts, preferred
Previous experience working in a professional services firm, preferred
License/Certifications:
Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification, preferred
PMI Agile Certified Practitioner, preferred
Software:
Experience with a project planning application, preferred
Experience managing projects in connection with any of the following, preferred: ServiceNow, Oracle Fusion Cloud, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Teams, Planner, DevOps , Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Microsoft SharePoint

Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.
National Range: $120,000 - $155,000
Maryland Range: $120,000 - $155,000
NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $120,000 - $155,000
