About Rivian
Rivian is on a mission to keep the world adventurous forever. This goes for the emissions-free Electric Adventure Vehicles we build, and the curious, courageous souls we seek to attract.
As a company, we constantly challenge what's possible, never simply accepting what has always been done. We reframe old problems, seek new solutions and operate comfortably in areas that are unknown. Our backgrounds are diverse, but our team shares a love of the outdoors and a desire to protect it for future generations.
Role Summary
At Rivian, we believe people leaders are the most powerful drivers of culture, engagement, and growth. As we evolve our approach to Employee Experience, we're investing in how we support and scale leadership capability across the company. That's where you come in.
We're looking for a Lead Employee Experience Partner to join our growing People team, someone who brings strong HR and business acumen and an instinct for real-world solutions. This isn't a traditional generalist role focused on individual employee cases. Instead, you'll be a force multiplier for leaders; coaching them through challenges, building training rooted in lived experience, and using data and feedback to proactively address the moments that matter most in the employee journey.
If you're passionate about equipping leaders to lead with clarity and confidence, and you want to shape the future of how HR supports at scale, this is the role for you.
Responsibilities
Be a trusted partner to people leaders, from first-line managers to senior leaders, helping them navigate everyday team dynamics, build confidence, and lead effectively
Spot trends in the questions, requests, and friction points leaders face, then help design simple, scalable tools and training that meet the moment
Translate real-life needs into practical resources, whether it's a how-to guide for navigating tough conversations or a hands-on workshop for driving accountability
Collaborate with COEs and HR Business Partners to ensure consistency in guidance while reducing friction in our people processes
Deliver targeted coaching and learning moments that are grounded in empathy, data, and business context
Help shape and evolve core programs and toolkits that improve how we onboard, develop, and support leaders across the company
Use data and employee feedback to identify opportunities for proactive interventions that elevate the overall employee experience
Be a thought partner to the broader Employee Experience team, offering mentorship, perspective, and a keen eye for what's working
Qualifications
6+ years of experience in HR; preferably in a generalist, HRBP, or leadership advisory role
Strong coaching and facilitation skills, with a knack for helping leaders work through real situations with confidence
A practical understanding of employee relations and HR compliance, but a passion for prevention, enablement, and clarity
Experience building or delivering training, toolkits, or guides that make people processes easier and more effective
Comfort navigating ambiguity and working across a matrixed, fast-moving environment
Strong communication skills; you can distill complexity into simplicity and tailor your message to your audience
A proactive mindset and a desire to build, improve, and iterate
Why This Role? Why Now?
This is your chance to shape how the People team supports leaders by anticipating needs, solving for scale, and building a more confident management culture. You'll be surrounded by passionate, mission-driven peers who are reinventing the way the People team shows up at Rivian. You'll influence how we teach, support, and grow our leaders from the ground up.
