Must be able to work with customers and Mold Makers, and Depts.
Confirm manufacturing of mold is possible from supplied customer data
Provide workable mold design
Ensure design meets what's been quoted and meets customers standards
Be able to provide shop floor with detailed 3d files and prints
Must be able to collaborate with Shop foremans and Mold Makers
Redesign components to achieve engineering changes
Be able to design secondary operation fixtures
Purchase components and stay with quoted budget
Job Qualifications-
Proficient in 3D Cad software's, Cimatron or Solidworks preferred.
Minium 5-7 years' experience of mold design
Experienced in working with customers on detailed CAD files and ability to explain the trouble areas on files and offer solutions.
Ability to design fixtures if needed to do a secondary operation to the molded part, or end of arm tooling.
