Opportunity Overview: As a Procurement Engineer with WECTEC Staffing, you will work on site in Bridgman, MI. This is a full time, long-term contract reporting to a client supervisor.
Your Day-to-Day:
Research industry standards such as IEEE, NEMA, ANSI and ASTM to determine technical requirements.
Create and use documents and spreadsheets using Microsoft Word and Excel.
Research vendor information on the internet.
Perform Technical Evaluations of Replacement Items (EPRI NP-6406)
Resolve Receipt Inspection discrepancies (EPRI NP-6629).
Perform "Like for Like" and alternate replacement equivalency evaluations.
Perform safety classification determinations (EPRI NP-6895)
Perform commercial grade item dedication (EPRI NP-5652 & TR-102260).
Understand lot formation and sampling plans as part of dedication testing.
Who You Are:
Bachelor or Master of Science in Engineering
8 years' experience in nuclear procurement, procurement engineering or material management
