The Desk Support Staff must be able to demonstrate and ensure that professionalism, safety, respect, rules, policies and procedures for co-workers and shelter guest are maintained at all times. Daily duties include:
General office duties, filing and common use of office equipment
Answer phones; take accurate, detailed messages; transfer phone calls to appropriate personnel.
Ability to do intakes with new guest entering into the shelter. Fill out important documents and gather significant information.
Supervise shelter guest during hours when case managers are not available.
Ensure clealiness of interior and grounds of the facility.
Assist donors with donations.
Work with team to make sure department is running efficiently.
Flexible; able to work various shifts as needed.
Ability to be versatile.
Keep shelter manager and staff informed of all pertinent information.
Communicate accurate information to clientele, resident and donors.
Maintain logs and reports as required.
