SoundOff Signal seeking a hands-on, strategic Corporate Controller to lead a team of financial analysts within a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role goes beyond traditional accounting. It's about driving operational efficiency, building strong cross-functional partnerships, and elevating finance into a true business partner.
You'll lead the month-end close and reporting process, strengthen internal controls, and financial policy, while also identifying process improvements that increase accuracy and efficiency. Partnering closely with Operations, Materials, Purchasing, Engineering, and SG&A, you'll provide actionable financial insights that directly impact company performance and profitability.
This role offers high visibility with executive leadership, including direct partnership with the CFO and Finance Directors, and the opportunity to build and develop a high-performing finance team. Essential Job Functions
Demonstrates SoundOff Signal's Core Values in daily interactions with internal and external customers.
Lead, develop and coach team responsible for timely and accurate month end close, account reconciliation, and financial reporting processes according to GAAP principles
Identify, design and lead continuous improvement and process efficiency initiatives for the Finance function
Support development and management of necessary financial accounting policies, procedures, and internal accounting memos
Manage the design, preparation, and regular publication of key internal reports to stakeholders for the processes managed by the role
Develop and maintain excellent internal business partnerships with Operations, Materials, Purchasing, Engineering and SG&A functions
Provide strategic support for Operations, Materials, and Purchasing by identifying inefficiencies and working together on solutions to make our greater manufacturing process more efficient
Coordinate annual financial review and audit processes with external partners with support of Finance Directors and internal functions
Support development and management of financial policy, internal controls, and segregation of duties
Provide strategic support for CFO and Finance Directors on functional and company initiatives as directed
Demonstrate and support an ongoing management style of collaborative problem solving, coaching and development, and operational excellence for the broader Finance team
Able to perform job consistently without excessive absenteeism or tardiness.

Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance
Minimum of 5 years experience related to managing finance staff for a manufacturer; specific leadership of Controllership is strongly preferred
Prior Controllership or Financial Analyst experience required
CPA or CMA designation required
Demonstrated verbal, written and visual communication skills suitable for Executive level discussions
Prior Controllership experience with publicly traded companies, or larger multi-divisional, international companies desired
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required; experience with Power BI and other reporting tools strongly desired
Strong understanding and first-hand user knowledge of manufacturing ERP and financial reporting systems; Syteline knowledge is preferred
Proven excellence in financial skills and strong knowledge of end-to-end financial processes (Record to Report)
Proven ability to influence/teach/coach team members and leaders
Experience with or certification in project management, Lean Six Sigma a plus
