Job Description

Must be capable of running each inspection machine in the department and achieve the stated machine rate
Notify supervisor or pack/sort lead when running low on stock
Communicate with managers, supervisors, pack/sort lead, set up personnel and other operators regarding the general operation of the inspection machine
Check automated inspection equipment for accuracy
Complete necessary paperwork. This includes, but is not limited to, verification records, production sheets, production charts, hold up cards, bar coding transactions, etc.
Evaluate and report results of sorting/packing
Close all containers in the areas when not in us
Hand sort mixed and defective material as assigned
Hand pack all finished products assigned
Perform visual in-process audits as required
Follow Management Systems procedures and work instruction
Participate in EOS L10 meetings on a periodic basis
Participate in the continuous improvement, research and recommendations for all operational processes
Maintain a clean, safe and efficient work environment by following the 5S principles
Complete all other specially assigned tasks or projects
Support production of profitable products
Responsible for ensuring all packed products meet customer specifications
Responsible to meet automated inspection equipment rate
Responsible for conducting final audit of product prior to customer shipments that do not get scanned
Responsible for ensuring containers are properly labeled to customer requirements
Responsible for ensuring accuracy of QAD entry
Responsible for following inspection machine operator and set up instructions including Quality Management System requirements, inspection instructions, preventative maintenance schedules and verification requirement

Additional Requirements

Employees will be exposed to the noise, fumes and temperature extremes typically found in a light manufacturing environment. Risk of injury from being in close proximity of operating machinery is possible, but unlikely if proper safety precautions are followed.
Lifting requirements for this position dictate that the employee must be physically capable of lifting a minimum of 40lbs on a repetitive basis and a maximum of 70lbs on an occasional basis.
These lifting requirements apply both while ascending and descending five stairs and while working on level, non-stair surfaces.
