The Material Handling Manager is responsible for management of the Key Performance Indicators associated with material handling activities including: Total Recordable Incident Rate, Internal Logistics Service Rate, Logistics Transformation Cost, Material Handling Performance. This role directly impacts the plants performance through KPI management, process improvements and training and development management. This individual is the subject matter expert regarding material handling.
The Material Handling Manager participates in and promotes lean Stellantis Industrial System (SIS) activities.
Expert in applicable systems including: Receiving, Broadcast, Kanban, LPAs
Responsible for adherence to governing procedures and process audits
Responsible for plants' success in meeting or exceeding KPIs associated with material handling
Lead for training and development activities including industry best practices and technology standards
Responsible for improving logistics processes for optimal performance and cost-efficiency
Interacts with all levels of the organization including bargaining and non-bargaining, hourly and salary employees as well as executive leadership
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business or a related field
Minimum 8 years of experience in a manufacturing environment focused in production control, supply chain or material handling
Ability to demonstrate lean manufacturing knowledge and application
Ability to direct the workforce and deliver results on Key Performance Indicators
Experience in resolving conflicts with professionalism and integrity
Ability to adapt and manage change to support business needs
Strong understanding of the systems and procedures related to production control, supply chain or material handling
Excellent oral and written communication skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree in related field
