JOB TITLE: Starter/Ranger
RATE OF PAY: $13.73 per hour

8 seasonal positions available with part-time, variable hours and no benefits other than as provided under the Earned Sick Time Act (ESTA).
Approximate employment period: April through November (2026)
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Performs a variety of services necessary to monitor the pace of the play on the course, enforcing rules and corrects any problem areas that may arise. Supervision is general, received from the Recreation Manager.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Provide customer service to guests.
2. Bring out the proper amount of carts needed for that day. Check gas and tires.
3. Set up the golf course for outings and tournaments.
4. Maintain starting times and pace of play on the golf course.
5. Check receipts from all play starting on the first tee.
6. Maintain and clean the bathrooms on the golf course and in the snack shop throughout the day.
7. Fill in divots with fertilized sand on the tee boxes daily.
8. Assess the current state of the outside operations.
9. Punctual and consistent attendance is an essential function.
10. All other duties assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS: Must have previous customer service experience and good communication skills. Must know the basic rules of golf/etiquette. Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
