GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Strategic Partnership Representative is responsible for identifying, cultivating and managing relationships among HAP's strategic partnerships while also developing strategies to increase revenue, membership, brand awareness, and engagement. The individual in this role will position HAP as a Trusted Resource and Advisor with the populations and markets it serves.
The position requires extensive travel throughout the assigned HAP service area including Greater Traverse City and Northern Michigan markets. This position is hybrid and will have expectation to report into the Traverse City office for an assigned number of days.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Build and manage strategic relationships with identified partners on behalf of HAP, specifically for membership growth and retention whenever possible. Identify opportunities to educate partners and their audiences on key HAP initiatives and make introductions to HAP sales team where sales opportunities exist.
Develops and executes strategies for proactively sourcing new partnerships that offer the best return on investment for HAP and its stakeholders. Owns communication and contact with existing partners to ensure growth opportunities are captured. Consistently seeks ways to expand organizational network within targeted market segments for business development.
Leverage data to analyze and report on partner initiatives, forecast for strategic changes and report on key metrics.
Be a subject matter expert on HAP products and HAP to communicate and respond to inquiries from strategic partners and their audiences.
Develop and present seminars on different HAP and or Insurance industry topics to target groups to position HAP as a Trusted Resource on key topics and products.
Represent HAP at HAP sales kiosks as needed.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Bachelor's degree.
Minimum two (2) years of experience in an external customer service and or sales role. Health insurance industry preferred.
Demonstrated experience initiating and expanding client/customer relationships.
Experience working for a large organization (more than 500 employees), preferred.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:
Must obtain Health and Life insurance license within 90 days of hire date.
