Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Cash Application Specialist to join our team in Livonia, Michigan. This Contract to permanent position focuses on ensuring accurate and timely management of inbound receipts, applying cash to invoices within an ERP system, and providing support in accounts receivable processes. The ideal candidate will handle high-value transactions, assist with collections, and contribute to streamlining processes for improved efficiency.
Responsibilities:
Apply incoming cash receipts to invoices in the ERP system to maintain accurate account balances.
Process high-value transactions daily, ensuring all payments are correctly documented and reconciled.
Assist with credit card payment processing and support retail account collections.
Collaborate with overseas team members to manage morning or overnight cash application tasks.
Gather necessary documentation for disputed invoices and upload information to retailer portals for review.
Monitor accounts receivable aging reports to identify unpaid invoices and address related disputes.
Provide timely updates and resolve issues related to delayed payments by gathering required information.
Support efforts to improve and refine cash application processes for enhanced accuracy and efficiency.
Contribute to accounts receivable tasks, including dispute submissions rather than direct collection work. Requirements - Proven experience in cash application and accounts receivable processes.
Proficiency in ERP systems for invoice management and cash posting.
Ability to manage high-value transactions with accuracy and attention to detail.
Familiarity with credit card payment processing and retail account management.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills to address payment disputes.
Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and retailers.
Knowledge of accounts receivable aging reports and dispute resolution processes.
Ability to adapt to process improvements and contribute to operational efficiency.
