An event guard is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of guests, staff, and property at events. This includes monitoring entrances and exits, checking bags and tickets, and responding to any incidents or emergencies that may arise. The event guard must be able to communicate effectively with guests and staff and always maintain a professional and courteous demeanor. They must also be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to stand for long periods.
Responsibilities and Duties

- Direct parking in the event parking lot
- Patrol the area assigned.
- Identify visitors and ask for appropriate documents
- Guard against theft and maintain security
- Respond to alarms and calls of distress
- Stop suspicious people and ask for identification
- Submit written reports
- Call for aid if necessary
- Use radio, or cell phones to stay in contact with other security personnel
- Prevent the passage of prohibited articles into restricted areas
- Check purses, pockets, and bags for suspicious items
- Inspect windows and doors to ensure locks are in place and working properly
- Partner with local law enforcement, fire departments, and client management to help protect from disruptive or dangerous situations

Security Requirements
- Eligible and authorized to work in the United States
- At least 18 years of age
- Must be able to work flexible schedules and overnight hours
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must not use illegal drugs
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated if prior military
