Shipping Associate: 1:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. - Hastings, MI.
The Shipping Associate supports daily outbound operations to ensure customer orders are picked, packed, labeled, and shipped accurately and on time. This role requires consistent use of multiple operational computer systems—such as Transportation Management System (TMS), carrier portals, and handheld scanning devices—to process orders, print shipping documents, freight, and maintain real-time inventory and shipment data.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Navigate in the system to pick, route, create handling units, confirm shipments, print packing lists, bills of lading and invoices.
Maintain Shipping Order files.
Audit every order for inclusion of proper paperwork, packaging, labeling, and routing.
Unload carts and move completed orders to shipping area and organize, appropriately.
Organize shipments and load outbound trucks.
Heavy and repetitive lifting required (40 lbs. or more).
Have a complete understanding of departmental paperwork and systems with 100% accuracy
Perform department daily cycle counts.
Support department is continuously improving objectives.
Skid and shrink wrap shipments
Determining mode and carrier based on customer routing and load dimensions and weight.

Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
Proficiency with operational computer systems
Strong attention to detail, time management and sense of urgency in meeting tight shipping deadlines
Ability to read and follow SOP’s, and packaging guidelines
Effective communication skills and teamwork are a must
Working conditions:
Ability to stand/walk for extended periods; frequent lifting.
Reaching, bending, twisting, stooping, and use of pallet jacks/forklifts
Warehouse environment with variable temperatures and noise; required PPE.
Ability to use handheld scanners, label printers, and other standard warehouse equipment.
