Job Summary:
Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance programs.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical breakdowns.
- Follow all safety regulations and exercise due caution when working on equipment and wear/use appropriate personal protective equipment.
- Read and understand electrical schematics
- Maintain, alter, rebuild and adjust equipment and facilities to include fabricating parts and assemblies.
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance.
- Assist Maintenance supervisor in development of preventative and general programs of reporting and control.
- Additional duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
- High school Diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience.
- Must have a minimum two years of machine repair experience.
- Must be able to wire equipment and plant according to the NEC.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing.
- Able to operate all hand and machines tools, including welders.
- Able to read and interpret drawings, sketches, OEM instructions and specifications.
- Able to troubleshoot and make repairs to complex equipment.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as work orders, workplace, and safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Basic math skills, add subtract, and ability to use a measuring device.
- Basic problem-solving skills.
Desired Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to be trained for forklift and scissor lift
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently, 20lbs constantly
- Occasionally be able to do the listed activities
- Moving to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another,
- Communicating with others to exchange information,
- Operating machine and/or power tools
- Work in noisy environments
- Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like
- Moving self in different position to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight spaces
- Remain in stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods
- Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
- Assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned
- Work in high and low temperatures
SCHEDULE IS MONDAY TO FRIDAY, 1st SHIFT: 7AM-3PM
- Overtime pays time and a half after 40 hours per week
