Job Description: Perform engineering duties in planning and designing tools, engines, machines, and other mechanically functioning equipment. Provide customers with pre and post-sales support, carrying out Proof of Concept (PoC) development work with simulation tools and delivering technical presentations. Carry out consulting projects using simulation tools. Train customers in the use of simulation tools in the 3DEXPERIENCE platform and Abaqus. Lead customer engagements from a technical perspective. Lead solution and workflow development for the Transportation & Mobility (T & M) industry. Engage with Research & Development (R & D) to provide suggestions for code development to meet industry needs. Represent the company at technical conferences. Develop best practices articles for use of the company’s SIMULIA products and solutions. Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days a week according to company policy. Domestic travel required up to 30%.
Job Requirements: Master’s or foreign equivalent degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or in related field and 4 years of experience in the job offered or in a computer-related occupation.
Special Requirements: Position requires experience, knowledge or coursework in each of the following skills:
- Work with customers in industries like Transportation & Mobility and Industrial Equipment, in areas such as structures, durability and optimization;
- Perform simulations using non-linear finite element analysis and mechanical engineering principles,for structural analysis applications;
- Pre- and post-sales technicalsupport for simulation customers in industries like Transportation & Mobility, Industrial Equipment, Life Sciences, High-Tech, etc.;
- Lead customer engagements from a technical perspective,carrying out Proof of Concept (POC) development work with simulation tools and delivering technical presentations;
- Train customers in usingthe 3DEXPERIENCE Platform and Abaqus for performing engineering simulations;
- Carry out engineering benchmarking and consulting projects using simulation tools;
- Lead simulation workflow development for prospects and customers;
- Engage with Research & Development (R&D) to provide suggestions for code development to meet industry needs;
- Develop best practices articles for theuse of simulation solutions.
