We are hiring a Fiberglass Tank Fabricator to manufacture fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) tanks using filament winding, hand lay-up, and composites manufacturing techniques.
This is a hands-on manufacturing position for candidates with experience in fiberglass fabrication, composites, FRP, filament winding, or industrial manufacturing. Training is available for candidates with strong mechanical skills and manufacturing experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate fiberglass tanks using filament winding and FRP manufacturing processes
- Perform fiberglass lay-up, lamination, and winding operations
- Mix and handle resins, catalysts, and additives using established ratios
- Monitor builds for quality, thickness, and structural integrity
- Identify and correct fiberglass defects (dry glass, air pockets, delamination)
- Measure and verify tank wall thickness
- Operate winding equipment, tools, and production machinery
- Follow manufacturing safety procedures and PPE requirements
- Maintain a clean and organized manufacturing work area
Required Qualifications
- Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial production
- Ability to follow work instructions, drawings, and quality standards
- Comfortable working with fiberglass, FRP, resins, and industrial materials
- Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with fiberglass fabrication, composites, FRP, filament winding, or tank manufacturing
- Experience with mechanical systems
- Blueprint reading capabilities
- Forklift or overhead crane experience (or willingness to train)
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
- Standing, bending, and repetitive motions required
- Manufacturing environment with odors, dust, and temperature variation
