- Perform the manufacturing process engineering research, design, development, and day-to-day activities of metal component manufacturing processes and systems including production flow, material handling, quality advanced control and scheduling, physical distribution, manufacturing equipment settings, and production lines while using computer software such as Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), SolidWorks, and CATIA
- Develop the measuring, testing, sourcing, and cost-justification of various manufacturing tools and production machinery and equipment settings in order to determine systematic and customized manufacturing processing engineering methods and procedures for the efficient and effective production of high quality metal components
- Prepare the manufacturing process engineering product and process systems analysis for cost reduction, continuous improvement, and constant efficiency while ensuring quality standards and control measures are continuously maintained
- Develop the metal components manufacturing operation policies and procedures based on manufacturing and mechanical engineering principles to ensure both customer and government regulatory specifications are met and operating at full capacity
- Perform the examination of metal components design difficulties or failures in order to diagnose faulty manufacturing tools and equipment settings and approve remedial actions in order to implement timely, effective, and efficient manufacturing process engineering resolutions
- Coordinate the assessment of customer design proposals and consult and negotiate with customers and vendors directly to determine specifications, feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements
- Propose detailed budgets for new metal components and tools manufacturing process engineering projects and approve potential new metal tools and components manufacturing designs for prototypes and beta components
- Confer with Business Unit Leader to ensure continuous improvement
of manufacturing process engineering measures and continuous development and
improvement of new metal tools and components and design
- Directly supervise 2 employees while preparing performance evaluations and providing work assignments
A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Management, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering is required (A foreign educational equivalent is acceptable). Also required is 6 months of employment experience as an Operations Consultant, Industrial Engineer, or Quality Engineer. Demonstrated ability in utilizing the following computer software is required through education, experience, or a combination of both education and experience: Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications (VBA); SolidWorks; and CATIA.
