What this job involves:
The Maintenance Technician supports operation, inspection, and maintenance processes to mechanical,electricaland plumbing equipment and systems in assigned facilities.Partners with Team Members and Mobile Engineers in maintenance and repair efforts, as well as independently performing defined tasks.Performs inspections and repairs to assigned property interior and exterior areas, including HVAC units, Boilers, Cooling Towers, walls and flooring, installed fixtures, roofing systems, lighting, etc.
What your day to day will look like:
Install,maintain, and repair structured cabling systems including Cat5, Cat6, and fiber optic cables
Terminateand test network cables, phone lines, and data connections
Install andmaintainsecurity camera systems, access control panels, and card readers
Troubleshoot and repair fire alarm systems, smoke detectors, and emergency notification systems
Install and service building automation system (BAS) sensors, controllers, and communication networks
Maintainand repair audio/visual equipment, conference room systems, and digital displays
Install and configure wireless access points, network switches, and telecommunications equipment
Perform cable management and organize telecommunications closets and server rooms
Performance of ongoing preventive and repair response work orders on facility mechanical, electrical,plumbingand other installed systems, equipment, and other components.
Perform assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on as found conditionsimpactingsatisfactory client occupancy and operations.
General maintenance and repair duties for interior spaces
Assistthe operations team in the maintenance and repair of building and equipment and/or as directed
Moves office furniture, machinery,equipmentand other materials as requested
Replace lighting and ballasts
Clean HVAC coils, change filters and belts.
MaintaincompliancewithState, County, or City Ordinances, Codes, or Laws.
UtilizeCMMS systems such as Corrigo for all work performed and update work orders in real time.
Allother duties and tasks assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Have a minimum of3-5years of applicable working experience in general building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing, and basic electrical.
Experience with low voltage systems and structured cabling preferred
Low voltage certification or BICSI certification preferred Knowledge of TIA/EIA standards for telecommunications cabling
Experience with cable testing equipment (cable certifiers, tone generators, etc.)
Licenses as required by authority havingjurisdiction
Must be able tolift upto 80lbsand climb up to 30 ft ladders.
Position requires frequent climbing, bending, kneeling, lifting, and driving.
