Responsible for leading all Manufacturing Engineering functions for North America powertrain battery tray/frame, casting, components, engine, and transmission programs. Their primary role is to guide their Engineering team to develop and launch processes that meet all objectives for safety, quality, delivery, and cost for both new model (NM), non-new model (NNM), and adaptation programs.
Main responsibilities include:
Perform assessments for process changes and related investment requirements for cost studies
Oversee engineering scope definition, Requests for Quotes (RFQ's), sourcing, technical evaluations, design, manufacturing, and installation of air/mist/coolant collectors and filtration
Manage and prioritize the Non-New Model (NNM) powertrain programs requests and ensure that approved programs are completed on time and within budget
Manage all New Model (NM) program's facilities aspects including site preparation and machine installation
Lead Flow activities on programs ensuring successful implementation and tracking of the Iron Triangle (Scope, Timing, and Cost)
Lead their team in the implementation of Stellantis Production Way (SPW) methodology, supporting all activities including deployment of advanced SPW tools and guide systematic root cause problem solving methods to attack risks
Development/improvement of process and equipment standards related to facilities infrastructure.
Support the Engine/Electrification Manufacturing Plants located in Dundee (MI), Trenton (MI), Toledo (OH), Kokomo (IN) and Saltillo (MX); Transmission Plants in Kokomo and Tipton (IN); Casting Plants in Kokomo (IN) and Etobicoke (ON), , Brampton/Windsor (ON), while maintaining a relationship with the Global CoC initiatives.
Drive standardization across plants in all regions
Strongly partner to contribute to Product Design for Manufacturing processes
Lead procurement, design, build, install, qualification and launch of facilities and process supporting equipment and infrastructure
Support Stellantis Production Way initiatives
Center of Competency facilities support for NA US, Mexico, Canada region(s)
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or engineering technology or technical equivalent, advanced degree preferred
Minimum 10 years manufacturing experience, Powertrain Manufacturing experience a plus
Minimum of 5 years' experience in program management or multi-tasking environment
Must be able to work and interact with all levels of the organization
Must have strong oral, written, presentation and organizational skills
Ability to translate technical data and analysis into an executive summary format for presentation
Ability to analyze, interpret and present data to all levels of the company in easily understandable formats
Ability to implement SPW principles and ability to lead effectively in a bargaining unit environment
Ability to embrace cross-functional teams responsible for developing, specifying, building, and launching powertrain manufacturing processes
Demonstrated abilities to plan and execute large scale projects in time and budget
Ability to effectively lead, teach, coach and mentor employees
Strong leadership skills with the ability to build and develop the best teams
Knowledge of advanced problem-solving skills and ability to manage data analysis to identify root causes and attack them to closure
Knowledge of cost studies and strategic planning a plus
High demonstration of leadership and teamwork characteristics
Autocad and Microsoft Office intermediate or advance knowledge required
Teamcenter, 3D modelling Software use like Solidworks, NX, knowledge a plus
