What You’ll Do:
As a DSP, you’ll be a cheerleader and mentor to individuals with disabilities, helping them live fulfilling and independent lives. You’ll provide support in a variety of settings—in the community, and at an employment site. No two days are the same, and that’s what makes it exciting!
Your role includes:
- Supporting individuals with daily living skills.
- Helping with job coaching and volunteer opportunities to build independence.
- Encouraging community involvement through social outings and fun activities.
- Assisting with transportation.
- Advocating for dignity, respect, and choice for every individual you support.
- Documenting daily progress and maintaining accurate records.
- Ensuring a safe, happy, and supportive environment.
What We’re Looking For:
- Passion for helping others—no prior experience is required; we’ll train you.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build meaningful relationships.
- Patience, positivity, and problem-solving skills—every day is different.
- Reliable transportation (valid driver’s license, registration and insurance).
- Ability to assist with personal care tasks.
- Must pass a background check before hire.
