Job Title: Field Service EngineerJob Description
The Field Service Engineer will be responsible for servicing all machines sold, including runoff, installation, training, warranty support, and post-warranty assistance both domestically and internationally. This role involves machine installation, geometric alignment, software updates, retrofits, troubleshooting, and repairs, with frequent customer interaction and project management for large-scale installations.
Responsibilities
Install and accept machines, provide customer training, perform repairs, maintenance, and geometric alignment.
Update software and retrofit Modul gear hobbing and deburring machines.
Interpret error messages and systematically troubleshoot and repair issues.
Provide customer support via phone, email, and remote online communication to machine PC.
Manage projects for large-scale automotive installations.
Identify spare parts through troubleshooting and inspection.
Collaborate in projects and offer technical support to the sales department.
Travel to customer sites to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems.
Meet physical demands including bending, climbing, lifting, pushing, and pulling.
Essential Skills
Training as a machine tool assembler and/or CNC Control Technician.
Knowledge of feed/speed rates, spindle speed, and machine parameters.
Ability to read mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and hydraulic prints.
Understanding of various control systems (Siemens 840D and Fanuc).
Ability to work systematically and independently.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Industry-related experience or equivalent preferred.
Associates degree in mechanical or electrical field preferred.
Trade school or vocational training desired.
Work Environment
This is a remote position requiring significant travel, ranging from 50-100% within North America and occasional trips to Europe. The role offers the opportunity to work with advanced gear manufacturing technology and collaborate with a leading organization in precision tooling and machine solutions. A valid passport is required. The position includes a daily tax-free per diem, phone allowance, and vehicle allowance, with potential for a company vehicle in the future depending on assignment needs.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $85000.00/yr.
