QUALITY ENGINEER
LEAR PLAINFIELD
As a member of the Lear Plainfield Quality Department, the Quality Engineer will be responsible for:
The Role:
Your work will include, but not be limited to:
Executing PPAP Process for components and assemblies on the given time frame and milestones
Coordination and steering of supplier PPAP submissions in terms of documentation and hardware
Ensuring the quality of submitted documentation by reviewing and analyzing it in detail
Applies statistical process control (SPC) methods for analyzing data to evaluate the current process and process changes
Strong communication to all stakeholders (internal and external) responsible to align quality requirements and milestones.
Upload PPAP submissions in customer systems
Internal and external reporting of status and KPI's
Prepares and presents technical and program information to team members and management
Directs technical and administrative workers engaged in quality activities
Ensures quality conforms to requirements, workmanship standards, work instructions, engineering documents, and thorough testing are used to assess the conformance of the product, and non-conformances are either immediately repaired and re-inspected, or identified and segregated from conforming product
Create, analyze, and oversee all internal quality reports for management staff review, including containment process, inspection process, and reverification process.
Create Supplier QN's via Lear SQTS and drive suppliers to timely completion.

Your Qualifications:
2 - 5 years' experience in automotive industry, particularly in a metal stamping, welding and assembly environment.
Knowledge of auditing processes which guide us per IATF, etc.
Structured, problem-solving mindset.
Basic knowledge of the GD&T process and testing
Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products
Knowledge of capability testing process
Bonus If You Have:
Bachelor's degree in a related field
Any foreign language written or spoken
Detailed knowledge of testing requirements and evaluation process
