Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Tool Maker to construct, alter, and repair a wide variety of tools, jigs, prototypes, and fixtures. This role involves complex machine operations using both manual and CNC machine tools. The successful candidate will work from prints, sketches, and CAD designs, and interpret designs from other designers. Experience with EDM, CNC, and other manual machines is essential, and candidates with mold making, die casting, or plastic apprenticeship backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Extensive training will be provided, but a positive attitude is essential.
Responsibilities
Read and interpret CAD designs and blueprints from other designers.
Perform quality checks on tools and ensure precision in all operations.
Maintain and perform operations on machines, including CNC, EDM, and milling machines.
Execute machine operations requiring methods to maintain very tight tolerances.
Set up, program, and operate various machines as required.

Machining with lathe, mill, and grinder
Proficiency in using micrometers
Strong mechanical skills

Work Environment
This is a true 1st shift position, operating from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Some overtime may be available on weekends, and occasionally, work may be required on Saturdays. The tool shop currently consists of 5-6 people, with plans to expand by adding two more team members to accommodate new business growth.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45760.00 - $52000.00/yr.
