This position provides mail services to County departments and agencies. Processes incoming, outgoing, and inter-office mail and monitors various aspects of the postage machine. Performs a variety of clerical support roles, including but not limited to document preparation, data entry, scheduling, reception coverage, and customer service inquiries for Administrative Services.

Responsibilities and Duties:
Mail Services
Picks up incoming and outgoing mail, sorts, and delivers it to the departments and agencies, including inter-office mail.
Applies postage to mail through the mail machine and works with the postage machine company to monitor and load replenishment funds onto the machine as needed. Monitors and reports any technical issues with postage machine to the postage machine company.
Administrative Services
Provides professional, courteous customer service in person, by phone, and electronically; responds to inquiries, complaints, or directs individuals to appropriate staff or departments.
Covers front reception areas, assists walk-in customers, and manages telephone communications.
Prepares, compiles, reviews, processes, and edits a variety of documents, correspondence, reports, forms, invoices, and payments.
Handles accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes; verifies accuracy of data, coding, documentation, and matches invoices to purchase orders.
Maintains accurate and organized filing systems (electronic and paper) in compliance with retention policies.
Supports reporting and record-keeping functions, including data entry, tracking, compiling operational or financial information, and generating reports.
Assists with internal and external communications, public relations content, and website updates.
Coordinates departmental calendars, meetings, events, agendas, notes, and minutes for Boards, Committees, and other meetings.
Performs office operations, including ordering supplies, processing work orders, receiving shipments, and general office coordination. Delivers paper to various departments.
Provides pickup, sorts incoming mail from the post office, and delivers to various departments.
Provides cross-departmental administrative support, backup coverage, and performs other duties or special projects as assigned.
Required Education and Experience
High School Graduation or GED equivalent.
Proficient in using Microsoft Office and standard office equipment.
Valid Driver's license. Must possess and maintain an excellent driving record.
Preferred Experience
One (1) year of experience processing business mail and proficient in using a postage machine.
