The Executive Director shall function as the chief executive and administrative officer of agency programs and shall execute and administer the programs of the agency in accordance with the approved annual plan and operating budget, the general policy guidelines established by the Board, the applicable governmental procedures and policies, and the provisions of the Mental Health Code. The Executive Director has the authority and responsibility for supervising all employees. Serves, via contract, as the Executive Director of the Central Michigan Mental Health Facilities Board. The terms and conditions of the Executive Director's employment, including tenure of service, shall be as mutually agreed to by the Board and the executive director [MCL 330.1230].
Salary range: $138,159 - $179,897
A minimum of a Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Public Health, Business Administration, Management, or other similar field related to mental health public administration is required. A minimum of ten years of experience working in the field of mental health in the areas of direct service, supervision and/or administration, including at least five years of managerial experience is required. Experience with the Michigan public health system is preferred.
