The Stellantis Hardware Engineering organization is responsible for developing advanced hardware platforms across 14 vehicle brands. Within this framework, the Semiconductor Engineering group establishes product and technology selection criteria for critical semiconductor components in collaboration with silicon suppliers, partners, and cross-functional teams, including software, hardware, and system architects. We are seeking an experienced Hardware Architect with expertise in System-on-Chip (SoC) development, micro-architecture design, and system-level analysis to define scalable solutions that address future automotive and safety requirements.
SoC Architect- Technical Expert - Key Responsibilities:
Define SoC architecture for Central Compute ECU hardware, focusing on ADAS and Infotainment.
Translate high-level system requirements into detailed features for SoC-level compute, memory, interconnects, and interfaces.
Collaborate with software teams to optimize hardware across performance, power, reliability, and cost.
Advise on SoC IP blocks and design choices (ARM, RISC-V, GPU, DSP, ISP, NPU, NOC, MMA, accelerators).
Represent Stellantis in technical discussions with suppliers and partners.
Ensure ISO26262 and cybersecurity compliance.
Support hardware engineering in design, architecture, and ECU development.
Drive innovation in future SoC architecture, including chiplets, high-speed interconnects, and advanced memory.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
A minimum of 10 years relevant experience
Expertise in SoC microarchitecture and safety-critical embedded systems
Proficient with system modeling and performance analysis for trade-off evaluation
Skilled in EE/software architecture, functional safety, and micro-architecture specification
Successful first-pass SoC development record
Experience with silicon design tools and best practices for chip design and verification
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree
Automotive or Industrial experience
Direct work with ARM 32/64-bit, power management, high-speed interfaces, memory, video/audio
Familiarity with third-party IPs and SoC integration
Knowledge of RISC-V and Chiplets is an advantage
Strong understanding of embedded electronics design constraints
