Description
We are looking for a dedicated Staff Accountant to join our team in Cedar Springs, Michigan. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone eager to learn and grow while contributing to the financial accuracy and operational efficiency of the organization. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and review journal entries to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, maintaining timely and precise transactions.
Perform account reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial data and resolve discrepancies.
Assist in month-end closing procedures, including generating and analyzing financial reports.
Compile and submit corporate tax returns and sales tax filings in compliance with regulations.
Maintain the general ledger by recording transactions and ensuring account balances are correct.
Contribute to ad hoc reporting and analysis to support business decisions.
Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders to address financial inquiries.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and external parties.
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
A proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
Knowledge of accounting software and tools is a plus.
