You will be a part of a dedicated, experienced, and high-performing team at our Grand Rapids, MI site. At this facility, the assembler role is responsible for the day-to-day production and packaging of components used in our medical devices.
Available Shifts include:
1st Shift: 6:30am-2:30pm M-F
2nd Shift: 2:30pm-10:30pm M-F
3rd Shift: 10:30pm-6:30am Su-Thurs
Weekend Shift: 6:30am-6:30pm or 6:30pm-6:30am Sundays and Saturdays
Mandatory overtime is required on Saturdays .
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
You will be working in a clean room manufacturing environment that requires you to wear personal protective equipment including eyewear, hair net and protective gowning.
Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations.
Works from visual aids, method layouts, diagrams, schematics, process flow sheets and written or verbal assembly instructions.
Sets initial layouts, and uses a variety of tools to prepare product(s).
Make continuity checks on work in process and completed.
May conduct quality inspections on processing lines in accordance with quality specifications.
May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.
Operate microscopes as needed.
Alternate between standing and sitting throughout shift
Required Knowledge and Experience:
No prior experience required; comprehensive training will be provided.
Ability to read and write in English in order to understand work instructions, safety protocols, and communicate effectively within the team.
Nice to Have:
Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely in writing
Previous experience with assembly work
Experience working in medical device manufacturing
Background in automotive manufacturing or related industries
Strong mathematical skills for measurement and quality checks
Excellent hand dexterity for detailed assembly tasks
Willingness and flexibility to support different production areas as needed

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$34,000.00 - $51,000.00
This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Operations Incentive Plan (OIP).
The starting base rate of pay for this position and location is $18.50 per hour. The base rate is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).
