About the Role
The Experiential R&D Department is seeking an intern for the responsibility ofassistingthe data analysis andreporting of automotive audio evaluation results on sound quality and technology features.
We conductcontrolled listening tests to measure the sound quality of Harman's automotive audio systemsand other technologies.The resulting data isutilizedto establish performance targets andassistEngineering& ProductDevelopmentwith system optimization.
What You Will Do
Assistwith theanalysis andcreation ofExperiential R&D reports and data requests
Provide support for testing, data entry, anddatabasemaintenance
Support global dataneedsby developing dashboards for commonrequests
Integrate objective data with subjective feedback to mine for insights
Support ML/AI development activitiesand feature development
Work alongside teammates in Germany, Japan,Indiaand China toward a common goalandmaintaina global database.
What You Need to Be Successful
Must have taken coursesin orclosely related toManagement Information Systems (MIS),Data Science, Computer Science/Engineering,Object-Oriented Programming,Mobile App Development, Information Visualization,Database Development,Advanced Mathematics, and/orStatistics.
Must have strong oral and written communication skills and be able to confidently interact with and present information to senior leaders and executives
Must work collaboratively with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Experience with Python, Machine Learning, Big Data Structures
Results orientated mindset
Bonus Points if You Have
Demonstrated experience leading projects to completion
Interest in the audio or automotive industry
Experience with Qlik, Snowflake, AWS, S3, Databricks,Matillion.
Network Programming & Socket Proficiency in TCP/UDP socket programming,WebSockets, or similar network communication protocols.
Programming Languages & FrameworksProficiency in one or more high-level languages (e.g., C++, C#, Java, Python, Go, Rust)usedfor networked applications.
What Makes You Eligible
Must be currently enrolled in a realted Bachelor's Degree program or higher at an accredited institution having completed your Sophomore year or later, taking at least one class in the semester/quarter before participation in the internship program, and returning to school for at least one semester upon completion of the internship program
Must have a cumulative 3.0 GPA
Be willing to work in an office in Novi, Michigan.
Able to provide your own housing and transportation to/from work.
Must possess unrestricted work authorization.
Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment
Must provide full work availability from May 18, 2026 through August 7, 2026 and be able to work 40 hours per week

Freshman: $21.00
Sophomore: $23.00
Junior: $25.00
Senior: $27.00
Master: $32.00
Doct: $38.00
Dependent on the internship offered, pay is based on factors, including without limitation, the applicant's level of education and business need.
