JOB DESCRIPTION:
This position develops and manages marketing and communications plans for the College that include the implementation of marketing, advertising, promotional, and public relations efforts in support of the College’s strategic plan. The Communication Specialist writes and designs printed and published content/materials and coordinates a variety of other marketing communications projects under the direction of the Director of Marketing and Communications. Under the supervision of the Executive Director of The Foundation, the Communication Specialist develops creative content for donor solicitations, manages the annual giving campaign, coordinates the promotion of scholarship program, and assists with special event planning and special assignments/projects.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in communication, public relations, graphic design, marketing, business administration or related field.
- Strong writing skills and an ability to develop creative content. Creative content development is an essential function of this position.
- Three or more years of experience in fund raising and/or event planning and/or experience in communications, graphic design or similar discipline.
