QUALIFICATIONS
• Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions if necessary. Overtime may be occasionally required. Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds. Must pass a pre-employment drug screening.
COMPENSATION
• The worker's rate of pay is $19.93 per hour. If the worker exceeds 40 hours a week, the overtime pay rate is $29.90 per hour.
EMPLOYER RESPONSIBLITIES

Michigan Land Care, LLC agrees to comply with all requirements of the H-2B Temporary Nonagricultural Worker Program, including the following employer obligations:
Fee Reimbursement:
Michigan Land Care, LLC will reimburse the H-2B worker during the first workweek for all government-mandated fees associated with obtaining the H-2B visa, including visa application fees, visa processing fees, border crossing fees, and other related costs required by law. Passport fees are excluded.
Inbound Transportation & Subsistence:
The employer will provide, pay in advance, or reimburse the worker for the reasonable costs of transportation and daily subsistence, including lodging where necessary, from the place from which the worker has come to work to the place of employment, upon completion of 50 percent of the job order period.
Outbound / Return Transportation:
Upon completion of the job order period, or if the worker is dismissed early for any reason, Michigan Land Care, LLC will provide or reimburse the reasonable costs of return transportation and daily subsistence to the worker’s place of recruitment.
Subsistence Rates:
Daily subsistence during travel will be provided at a rate of at least $16.28 per day, up to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts, in accordance with Department of Labor guidelines.
Transportation During Employment:
The employer will provide transportation between worksites and from the reporting location to the worksite, at no cost to the worker.
Housing Assistance:
The employer will assist workers in locating or securing housing upon request. The employer does not provide or pay for housing.
Tools, Equipment, and Supplies:
The employer will provide all tools, equipment, supplies, and personal protective equipment necessary to perform the job, at no cost or deposit to the worker.
Training:
The employer will provide on-the-job training necessary for workers to perform assigned duties safely and effectively.
Compliance with Employment Terms:
The employer guarantees to comply with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws, including wage requirements, workers’ compensation coverage, and the three-fourths guarantee as required under the H-2B program.
Earned Sick Time:
In accordance with Michigan’s Earned Sick Time Act (Act 338 of 2025), employees will be provided earned sick time as required by state law. Eligible employees will accrue and may use earned sick time for qualifying purposes under the Act. The amount of earned sick time, and whether such time is paid or unpaid, will depend on the size of the employer as defined by Michigan law.
