Job Title: ISG Technician Job Description
We are seeking a Maintenance and Technical Support Technician to join our team. You will demonstrate your knowledge and skills while working collaboratively in several teams. More experienced applicants will take on comprehensive project responsibilities and have the opportunity to mentor other technicians. As an I&E Technician, you will work primarily in the Emissions Lab and the Milford Proving Grounds, troubleshooting test cell systems, calibrating instrumentation, and performing preventative maintenance. Our goal is to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency while driving continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and repair all components of the test cell facility, including drive systems, fuel systems, dynamometers, pumps, heaters, and heat exchangers.
Collect motor vibration data, replace filters, and install and calibrate cell transducers.
Fabricate and wire specialty equipment with or without drawings, such as fluid conditioning systems and specialty brackets.
Install, calibrate, set up, and troubleshoot exhaust gas emission measurement equipment.
Conduct equipment preventive and predictive maintenance, particularly on AVL equipment.
Essential Skills
High School Diploma.
3-5+ years of hands-on electrical and/or mechanical maintenance experience.
Broad troubleshooting skills in electrical and mechanical systems.
Competence in equipment calibration and maintenance.
Ability to work on 480VAC and 1000VDC systems safely.
Proficiency in welding and fabrication without explicit direction.
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in emissions testing or in an emissions lab.
Familiarity with Horiba and AVL equipment.
Associates Degree is a plus.
Experience in calibration and metrology.

Work Environment
The work environment is a clean, lab-oriented, and climate-controlled space within the Milford Proving Ground Emissions Lab. The maintenance team supports test operations that run 24/7, with potential shifts on multiple schedules. Opportunities for shift work include a priority 3rd shift, with flexible options available for candidates. Rotation occurs every third weekend, typically once a month, and the team operates with a limited crew on weekends. Team interaction varies from working with a team lead to working in pairs or individually, depending on the project.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $29.00/hr.
