We are seeking a compassionate Resident Assistant to join our Fairview Skilled Nursing and Rehab campus. In this role, you will support residents, staff and families while completing the Wellspring CNA Training Program.
Responsibilities
- Provide individualized attention that encourages each resident’s ability to maintain or attain the highest level of independence and physical, mental and psychosocial well-being.
- Be knowledgeable of individualized resident information and provide non-nursing support within the Resident Assistant scope of duties.
- Assist with transporting residents in wheelchairs only, passing linens, making beds, tray delivery and pickup, passing water, putting away supplies, answering call lights and fulfilling non-nursing resident requests.
- Maintain the comfort, privacy and personal dignity of each resident.
- Understand and comply with residents’ rights and all facility policies, including safety and infection control procedures.
- Assist in maintaining a safe, neat and clean environment and report environmental concerns to appropriate staff.
- Protect residents’ personal belongings and promptly report missing items.
- Observe residents for changes in condition or behavior and report concerns to licensed nursing personnel.
- Answer call lights promptly and courteously and seek nursing staff for all care requests.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior caregiving experience preferred.
- Commitment to compassionate service and respectful communication.
Schedule and Compensation
- Employment type: Full-time, 36–40 hours per week.
- Schedule: Eight-hour shifts during training and CNA class.
- Schedule after CNA completion and licensure: Night shift (5:30 p.m. – 5:30 a.m.).
- Weekends: Every other weekend rotation required.
- Starting pay: $14.00/hour.
- Pay after CNA completion and licensure: $17.00/hour.
