Job Title: Collection Specialist (Drug and Alcohol)

Position Summary: Performs duties to include the following collections:
Urine Drug screens- instant testing or lab based collections
Oral Swabs- lab based or instant collections
Breath Alcohol- Evidential breath tester instrument
DNA oral swabs in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations. Ensures chain of custody form is completed correctly. Responds to donors/customers in a timely and professional manner, exercising professionalism and upholding our company values. Capturing fingerprints and some clerical duties.
Essential Job functions:
- Verify donor ID prior to performing urine collection or oral swabs and perform specimens (urine, hair, and/or oral fluid) and alcohol collections in the clinic or off-site environment following DOT 49 CFR Part 40 and HHS guidelines, and Non-DOT guidelines and protocol.
- Verify identity and the reason for test drug screen collections per program requirements for pre-employment, random, annual, reasonable suspicion, post-accident, return-to-duty and follow-up drug testing in accordance with DOT or non-DOT requirements, court and probation.
- Complete all DOT drug screens in accordance with 49 CFR part 40 urine and alcohol collection guidelines.
- Works in a safe manner, adhering to general safety precautions and standards. Reports unsafe conditions.
- Perform basic maintenance and troubleshoot issues with fingerprinting and retail equipment, including computer hardware and software
- Verify customer identity and scan required documents into database system
- Successfully complete required biometric and data capture processes and paperwork on each customer
- Track processing time for each applicant and ensure applicants are processed in appropriate order
- Perform biometric processing to include capturing quality electronic fingerprints, photographs and signatures to meet or exceed program accuracy standards
- Performs Enrollment Center Sustainment responsibilities on a daily basis
- Successfully completes time sensitive trainings/briefings as assigned.
- Perform routine office duties. Greet and help customers, receive mail, answer phone as needed.
- Prepares specimens to ship to lab at the end of each day.

Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of Standing and walking required more than 6 hours per day
- Frequent use of hands and fingers to enter information using a keyboard
- Periodic stooping, bending, twisting and reaching
- Frequent lifting and carrying of light weight objects under 10 lbs
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- 1 year of Experience utilizing customer service skills
- Ability to complete DOT urine collection training and become certified as a DOT Collector and Breath Alcohol Technician (BAT), Fingerprint training after hired
- Must be detail oriented
- Experience using computer systems
- Ability to maintain positive and effective relationships
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the drug testing industry or healthcare
- Knowledge of HIPAA requirements.
- Bilingual speaking is helpful, but not required.
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday and rotate 3rd and 4th Saturday
