Opportunity
Our client is seeking an NC Machinist to join their team in the Foam department on day shift (6am-2:30pm) in Roseville, MI. You will be responsible for manufacturing high-precision foam components, and patterns by operating and setting up 3 and 5 axis NC machines. This is a full-time contract position with the opportunity for direct hire after 6 months.

Responsibilities
- Create setup/tooling sheets to assist operators with setup
- Read and interpret complex blueprints, CAD models, and CAM files
- Use precision instruments (calipers, micrometers, height gauges) to perform first-article and in-process inspections, ensuring parts meet tight tolerances
- Perform daily machine maintenance and maintain a clean, organized workspace
- Maintains job priorities, order lists, and ensures proper part labeling and staging
- Performs change program management
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years working as an NC machinist
- Minimum of 1 year working with Foam
- Knowledge of Visi programming software
- Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Strong organizational skills
- High School Diploma or GED
- Vocational Training or certification preferred
