Responsible for clarifying and defining complex system requirements demanded on the system by the customers, standards such as norms, statutes, and safety requirements, and by HELLA; coordinate cross-functional requirements and measures; draft, create, and coordinate the functional system specifications and system architecture in accordance with general guidelines and methods, with the inclusion of the existing proprietary, standard, and third-party systems; responsible for coordinating and administrating Requirements, including the development environment and tools for the project team; create an information model for the project and inclusive documentation of all necessary game rules and peripheral conditions; responsible for system engineering planning, and steer the project team within the corresponding framework; ensure that the defined standards are complied with within the system development framework, as well as initiate and monitor measures in case of deviations; responsible for defining and planning the configuration management in the project for the overall product in terms of construction, hardware and software, or of a system and its components, possibly also initiating and integrating additional entities or function divisions, and administrating the configuration environment and tools for the project teams; utilize IBM DOORS, PTC Integrity, Jira, MATLAB, Rhapsody, Python, C, C++, MySQL, CANoe, CANape, and CANalyzer to perform duties; responsible for defining and planning troubleshooting and change management in the project for the overall product in terms of construction, hardware, and software or of a system and its components, possibly also initiating and integrating additional entities or function divisions; organize and chair System Change Control Boards (CCBs), developing and building tool chaining and the build environment, and coordinating and steering all fault and change management activities between HELLA and the customer; responsible for defining and planning risk management in the project for the overall product in terms of construction, hardware, and software, or of a system and its components, and administrating the risk management tool for the project teams; responsible for planning and conducting the integration and integration test at system level; own and manage product creation processes in line with ASPICE guidelines, working closely with the system architect to ensure compliance and bidirectional traceability in System Level 1, 2, and 3; create and manage requirements management environments, project information models, toolchains, and configuration environments, including IBM DOORS, Jira, and PTC Integrity; and perform system validation and diagnostics using Vector tools CANoe and CANape, UDS protocols, and CAPL programming to support functional testing, communication analysis, and troubleshooting.
Location: Northville Township, MI and various unanticipated locations throughout the US;
Salary: $90,000 per year;
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer & Information Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree);
Experience: One (1) year in the position above, as an ADS Applications Engineer, as an Assistance Engineer, as a Software Developer, or in a related occupation;
