Role Overview
The Field CTO - Oracle Healthcare serves as Oracle's senior technical and architectural authority for healthcare providers, payers, and life sciences organizations. This role operates at the intersection of industry transformation, enterprise architecture, AI/data platforms, and large-scale cloud adoption, guiding customers through complex modernization initiatives that span clinical, operational, financial, and research domains.
Acting as a trusted advisor to C-suite executives (CEO, CIO, CTO, CDO, CMIO, CFO), the Field CTO brings broad portfolio mastery across Oracle, including Oracle Health, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Fusion Cloud Applications, analytics, AI, and data platforms - while translating business outcomes into scalable, secure, and financially viable architectures.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Customer Leadership
Serve as the primary technical executive sponsor for Oracle's most strategic healthcare, payer, and life sciences pursuits helping to coordinate across all Oracle sales teams and informing a complete One-Oracle strategy and vision.
Lead executive-level technology discussions focused on enterprise modernization, AI adoption, data strategy, and cloud transformation.
Partner with customers to define multi-year technology roadmaps aligned to clinical outcomes, cost containment, regulatory compliance, and innovation velocity leveraging the Oracle Health and complete Oracle solution portfolio working collaboratively across internal teams to guide large pursuits.
Large-Scale Pursuit & Deal Strategy
Act as the technical authority in transformational, multi-pillar deals, including complex RFPs, strategic pursuits, and outcome-based engagements.
Works closely with other pursuit team resources (Value Engineering, Strategic Business Development) for crafting narratives, value hypothesis, and strategic profiling to build comprehensive persona-based executive narratives to illustrate Oracle's unique value.
Collaborate with sales leadership, solution architects, and commercial teams to align technical architecture, financial models, and risk frameworks.
Support executive presentations, board-level discussions, and joint innovation sessions with customers and partners.
AI, Data, and Analytics Leadership
Guide customers in designing health data fabrics, AI-enabled analytics, and real-world data platforms that unify clinical, claims, operational, financial, and research data.
Shape AI use cases across:
Clinical decision support
Prior authorization and claims automation
Population health and care management
Life sciences research, evidence generation, and clinical trials
Partner with Oracle engineering to influence product roadmap, reference architectures, and platform evolution based on real-world customer demands.
Partner with Oracle Consulting for technical COE, strategic investment, co-design / joint innovation frameworks, etc.
One Oracle Architecture & Portfolio Leadership
Architect and evangelize end-to-end Oracle solutions spanning:
Oracle Health clinical and population health platforms
Healthcare and Life Sciences AI & Data Platforms
Fusion Cloud Applications (ERP, SCM, HR, CX)
OCI (compute, GPU, data, AI, security, networking)
Ensure cohesive, integrated architectures that eliminate siloed selling and reinforce a One Oracle approach across sales, engineering, consulting, and partners.
Ecosystem & Partner Engagement
Work closely with GSIs, ISVs, cloud partners, and healthcare technology ecosystems to design joint solutions and go-to-market strategies.
Represent Oracle at industry forums, executive briefings, and customer innovation labs as a recognized thought leader in healthcare and life sciences technology.
Required Qualifications
15+ years of experience in enterprise technology leadership, including healthcare, life sciences, or payer environments.
Proven experience as a Chief Architect, Enterprise Architect, CTO, Distinguished Engineer, or senior technical executive in a customer-facing role.
Deep understanding of:
Healthcare provider and payer operations
Clinical workflows, claims, revenue cycle, and regulatory frameworks
Life sciences research, real-world data, and clinical trials
Strong background in cloud platforms, data architecture, analytics, and AI, with the ability to translate technical depth into executive-level business value.
Demonstrated success leading large, complex, cross-portfolio technology initiatives.
Preferred Experience
Prior experience with Oracle platforms (Oracle Health, OCI, Fusion Applications, Analytics, AI).
Experience working with hyperscalers, AI infrastructure, and data-intensive workloads.
Background in consulting, systems integration, or large-scale digital transformation programs.
Experience influencing product strategy and engineering roadmaps

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only
US: Hiring Range in USD from: $141,800 to $232,200 per annum. May be eligible for equity and compensation deferral. Eligible for commission with an estimated pay mix of 60/40.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
