Position Title: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
Location: Monroe Public Schools
Available: Immediately; Full-time, school year position
Schedule: 7.5 Hours with 30-minute duty-free lunch; start and end times dependent on daily assignment.
Work schedule based on district calendar.
Probation Period: Ninety (90) working day probationary period.
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Job Summary:

Essential Duties:
- The RBT would assist with implementation of behavioral interventions to support student access to educational
- Support implementation of behavior intervention
- Support implementation of positive behavior support
- Assist with classroom management and respond to undesirable behaviors by replacing them with desired
- Maximize student access to the curriculum and create student
- Work 1:1 with a student or a floating position to support numerous
- Collect, record, and summarize data on observable student
- Build and maintain the positive school and classroom culture held within this school district.
- Support students in a variety of settings such as the community, job sites, field trips, and recreation.
- Calmly responds to unexpected behaviors independently and
- Perform duties necessary to support students who need assistance with daily life/health related activities as assigned by the teacher, supervisor, or
- Communicates proactively and timely with the BCBA, teacher, and parent/guardian.
- Maintain confidentiality of information pertaining to students and
- Must have valid driver's license and reliable, daily
- Transport students on occasion using district
- Maintain regular, predictable in-person
- Follow work
- Adhere to MCISD Board policies and guidelines, including Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BCBA)
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds, waist high (lifting test required).
- Carry out all other responsibilities that may be assigned by the
EDUCATION:
- High School diploma or equivalent, required. Associate degree, preferred.
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification, required.
EXPERIENCE:
- Knowledge and experience in Applied behavior analysis (ABA) treatment methodologies.
- Prior experience working with special needs children.
SKILLS/OTHER:
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
- Ability to work with severely disabled children.
- Ability to interact with staff and public required.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to perform all duties with an awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies.
