Position Summary: Position that falls within a collective bargaining agreement responsible for material distribution and duties at our location in Muskegon Michigan
Essential Job Functions:
Under guidance of the department supervisor, execute the following:
Perform engine or transmission kitting/picking as directed for ensuring systematic support of production builds
Supply plant-wide production parts to machining and assembly areas in a timely, accurate manner as assigned by supervisor
Ensure line stocking process is compliant with a FIFO pick, delivery and put away of consumable and production inventory
Ensure timely and accurate rotation of kit carts and material line support
Complete & document appropriate paperwork for all kitting activities and for internal movements
Perform daily verification of material movements, counts & all inventory documentation utilized in performance of duties
Perform audit counts and reconciliations on warehouse & plant inventory/functions to improve accuracy and material handling methods
Facilitate bulk "Kanban" point-of-use replenishments and fulfillment of shortages/replacements for proactive support of production
Maintain accurate control of material on the production line(s) and warehouse smooth flow of assembly productivity & optimize facility utilization
Support in the identification, control and movement of quality alerts for suspect, damaged, obsolete & consumable/expired products
Communicate with interdepartmental personnel for proactive notifications on any inventory control alerts and inventory awareness
Carry out all assigned material handling duties in accordance with best-practice inventory control functions
Packaging and labeling experience
Functional compliance with departmental work instructions, processes, and activities that define accomplishment of objectives for performance expectations
Complete and maintain all required personal safety/departmental training
Other duties as assigned
Licensed to operate Narrow isle stacker and forklift
Position Requirements
Qualifications:
Must have High School Diploma or equivalent
Must be able to read orders and work instructions
Must have factory Material Handling experience
Must have mechanical and mathematical skills
Must be able to lift up to and including 50 lbs and must be able to bend and lift
Must be able to obtain and maintain a PIV license
Must work any and all other duties as assigned
Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance
Preferred Additional Skills:
3+ years of material handling experience
2 years machining experience
2 years assembly experience
Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time
