Burke Architectural Millwork is a small, high-skill custom millwork and cabinetry advanced woods manufacturer serving commercial and luxury residential projects. We are seeking an entry-level manufacturing employee interested in building long-term skills in wood manufacturing, CNC operations, and skilled trades.
This role is designed as a paid pre-apprenticeship position that may lead to enrollment in a U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) Registered Apprenticeship for the occupation of Woodwork Manufacturing Specialist (multi-skilled combining: CAD, CNC, cabinet building/panel processing, coating/finishing, installation, estimating, project management.)

This position is not an automatic apprenticeship placement.
All new hires must work 6–9 months as a regular full-time employee to determine suitability for apprenticeship enrollment. Apprenticeship sponsorship is based on demonstrated:

JOB DUTIES & TRAINING
Employees will receive both On-The-Job (OJT) and Required Technical Instruction (RTI) training across multiple areas of the shop, including:

Basic CNC router operation and setup (industrial equipment)

Manufacturing and fabrication of custom cabinets and millwork

Creating and reading AutoCAD shop drawings and blueprints

Material processing and handling
-
Woodworking machines and tools
-
Finishing and coating support
-
Installation support and jobsite awareness
-
Workplace safety and quality control
This is not a single-machine or assembly-line position.
APPRENTICESHIP OPPORTUNITY
Employees who successfully complete the initial employment period of 6 - 9 months may be considered for enrollment in our DOL-registered Woodwork Manufacturing Specialist apprenticeship, a nationally recognized, competency-based program.
Employees who complete the U.S. Department of Labor–registered Woodwork Manufacturing Specialist apprenticeship earn a nationally recognized, portable credential and are recognized as having achieved journeyperson-level competency in the occupation.
The credential belongs to the apprentice and is recognized by employers across the United States.
Apprenticeship enrollment is earned, not guaranteed.
