Clinical Exercise Physiologist - Cardiopulmonary

GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Clinical Exercise Physiologist (CEP) plays a vital role in delivering innovative, patient-centered cardiopulmonary care through exercise testing, prescription, and lifestyle intervention. Working within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team, CEPs support patients across the care continuum-helping them safely improve functional capacity, manage chronic disease, and build sustainable healthy habits.
CEPs serve as core team members in cardiopulmonary exercise stress testing and clinical exercise programs, including Cardiac Rehabilitation, Pulmonary Rehabilitation, Supervised Exercise Therapy for Peripheral Artery Disease, and specialty programs such as oncology, weight management, and bariatric care. This role combines hands-on clinical care with meaningful patient education and long-term impact.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Bachelor's or graduate degree in exercise science/physiology or related field.
Experience in a clinical exercise setting highly preferred.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for the healthcare provider.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 1 year of hire.
American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) Clinical Exercise Physiologist (ACSM-CEP) certification is strongly preferred.
