Description
PCSI is looking for a Stock Clerk at its Detroit Arsenal Site. We seek a motivated and friendly team member to receive, organize, issue, and maintain accurate records of materials, supplies, tools, and equipment housed in the supply cage. In addition, this position provides direct support at the parts counter by assisting employees with material requests, issuing parts, and ensuring timely service. The right person will be detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask. This position will report to the Resource Manager at the Detroit Arsenal in Warren, MI.
SHIFT: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM Monday - Friday
Rate of pay:
$30.74 per hour, plus $5.95 for health and welfare (union position) with annual increases

What You'll Do as a Stock Clerk:
Receive incoming shipments; verify quantities and quality against purchase orders and delivery documents
Store and organize materials in designated locations within the supply cage, ensuring items are easily accessible and properly labeled, including hazardous materials (e.g., batteries, oils, lubricants, chemicals) in accordance with company policies
Maintain Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS/SDS) for all hazardous items stored in the supply cage, while ensuring proper labeling, segregation, and disposal of hazardous materials
Issue materials, tools, and equipment to authorized personnel, recording all transactions in accordance with company procedures
Maintain accurate inventory records through manual logs, spreadsheets, or inventory management software
Conduct routine cycle counts and assist with scheduled inventory audits
Monitor stock levels and alert Material Expeditors when reorders or replenishments are required
Identify and report damaged, expired, or missing inventory
Enforce and comply with company policies related to safety, security, and controlled access to the supply cage
Assist with surplus management and proper disposal of obsolete materials
Perform other related duties as assigned
May drive trucks to outlying work areas to check the status of orders or to deliver/pick up materials
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum two (2) years of prior experience in warehousing, supply chain operations, or inventory control is required
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook (email/calendar management), Excel (data entry and basic formulas), and Word (document creation and formatting)
Prior experience in supply and logistics preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to maintain accurate records
Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Working Condition
Physical ability to lift 25 pounds and perform prolonged standing, bending, or walking as required by the role
Ability to pass criminal, drug, and driving screening
Possess a valid driver's license and maintain a good driving record
Must be able to obtain and maintain:
Security clearance, including a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) investigation
CAC Card
Work is primarily performed in a secured warehouse/supply cage environment and could be exposed to various dirt, debris, and odors
May be required to work occasional overtime, weekends, or holidays to meet operational demands
Personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required based on tasks performed
